SA PROMO Magazine is aimed at promoting a positive angle on South Africa. It started over three years ago in the UK, aimed at South Africans abroad. This A5 glossy monthly magazine is also available as a flipbook on the website, which is a wider portal for all things South African, incorporating news, photos, videos and more. www.sapromo.com. It has also been launched in South Africa in September 2009, focusing on local communities around major cities. The first SA edition is Pretoria North & Moot. 

The magazine is made up of various sections – feature, travel, good times, business and bloggers. Good times is SA PROMO’s section for entertainment, music, sport and fun things to do. Business focuses on SA businesses and the bloggers section features South Africans from around the world sharing interesting insights about their lives.

Contributing to SA PROMO

• Want to share insights of your life as a South African? We are keen for one-off bloggers for the magazine, as well as regular bloggers for the website. We want to hear about life as a South Africans living in different cities of the world – what are the cultural differences; the best things about where you live now and the top things to do as well as an insight into your life in your new home.
• Do you have a passion for writing and wish to practice for your Pulitzer? From reviews and entertainment interviews to travel articles and in-depth feature articles, we are keen to hear from you on what you most like to write about.
• Do you have a great article idea for our readers?
• Want a CD reviewed or to recommend a band? If you are an artist / band and have an album that you would like reviewed please get in contact with us. For each album we review, we require 3x CDs so that we can also run a competition alongside the review.
