Natasha living on a yacht

Best Thing About the Country?
The all round good weather and the beaches are amazing. I have been residing in both Miami and Fort Lauderdale and will soon be heading to the Meditteranean. While Miami is renowned for its high-end fashion and clubbing, Fort Lauderdale, the yachting industry capital, gives off a more relaxed vibe. Marinas are filled with mega and super yachts and there is a large expat population as people from all over the world are attracted to this boat haven.
Biggest Cultural Difference?
The lifestyle regarding sport is different, with South Africans loving to meet for a braai or at a pub to watch the rugby whereas in the States they would meet at the nearest diner with huge big screen televisions at all angles to watch American football. The lifestyle is a lot more laid back in general and there is a feeling of freedom to walk the streets and ride your bicycles at all hours of the day.

My life for the last six months has been working on yachts and so far I’ve mostly been in Florida. We pick up charter guests and give them the best hospitality during their vacation. The boat sails to the Mediterranean in the months of April to October and then to the Caribbean in December and January.
