Best About Being Back in SA
A random stranger saying ‘Sawubona (Hello)’ with a smile!
Top Things Done Since Back in SA?
1. See amazing coast lines
2. Travelling in the Midlands Meander
3. Road trips are the best to experience the country
I have found myself back home, after my two years in London, and loving the sunshine so far! As strange it may sound, it seems like the sun gives you extra energy and makes you a lot happier. Since I’ve been back in South Africa for a few weeks, many people seem to be positive about where the country is heading. Great timing when we about host the 2010 World Cup! There is also so much being sorted out and new construction going on everywhere!
As I’ve lived near the sea most of my life, I love and appreciate our coast lines. There are always loads of activities to do in summer or even in winter, like going swimming, walking and surfing!
There is so much richness in our cultures and creativity! I am still amazed with the craftsmanship of an art seller in the streets or at markets, even with no educational background. The most amazing thing you come across in SA is how a complete stranger can greet, smile and talk to you. Generally in African (black or white) cultures, there is so much emphasis on respecting fellow human beings!
