Best Thing About the Country?
I love the diversity of the UK. Once you get over the culture shock life becomes a pleasure with so many things to do see and experience. London is truly the most exciting city in the world.
Biggest Cultural Difference?
Once I saw the movie 'Sense and sensibility' I began to understand what I was dealing with in the cultural differences. The biggest difference I had to overcome was the lack of friendliness, but hey, there are enough of us Saffas to make up for that!
Top Things to Do or See?
1. West End plays - Les Mis and Lion King a must 2. The markets - Borough Market and Portabello Market in particular 3. Camden Town 4. A train ride to the Lake District 5. Sushi bar at Harvey Nichols 6. Mercedes World 7. Fish & chips in Hastings 8. Lunch time concerts at The Festival Hall 9. Kew Gardens

We are a great nation, we have a lot going for us and as a passionate South African living here and missing all the normal things like sunshine, warmth and chatting to strangers, is just a small part of the living experience.

I have decided that I need to be as passionate about where I am now as where I am anywhere in the world! My quest is to make as many friends and contacts here as possible and let what I have been blessed with in my culture overflow and affect my surroundings in this country.
