Africa in Trafalgar Square? Yes, you heard right - this Saturday, 9 October, the Amazing Africa Festival will bring the tastes, sounds and flavour of the African continent to one of London's most famous public spaces.

From midday til 6pm, this free one day festival will celebrate the diversity of African culture through music, arts and crafts, African food and live stage entertainment. The event aims to provide a high-profile platform to showcase the richness and beauty of the African continent.

The main stage programme will feature six African bands as well as dancers, acrobats, stilt walkers, face painting and other activities for all the family.

Seventeen African countries celebrate their landmark Jubilee Independence anniversaries this year. A number of African Londoners together with their respective Embassies and High Commissions will be exhibiting and showcasing the tourism and investment opportunities available in their home countries. Exhibiting countries include Ghana, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Sao Tome, Zambia and more!
