This must be the weapon of mass destruction America was talking about ;-) ahhhh we "FOUND IT"

its snowing in Jordan...i know..very weird!

Camels, sand dunes and …SNOW!

When I decided to venture back out to the Middle East, leaving behind the cosmopolitan metropolis that is London, I found myself looking forward to glorious sunshine, whilst lazing in khaki tents, overlooking the mesmerizing sand dunes ahead. With Burberry and Temperley firmly behind me, I set off to a land of abayas (black ninja dresses) and gutrahs (head scarves with red checks).
Reality check!
Ok, so I didn’t think it would be that ‘Alladin-esque' I mean, I’ve live in the big ME before – soaking up the rays (and sweltering humidity) for a good year or so in Dubai.  But, I sure was looking forward to glorious sunshine and spice souks filled with saffron and cardamom-infused coffee – the region is, of course, the home of modern day coffee consumption (but that’s another story altogether).
Nevertheless, I must admit I was somewhat disappointed to find myself amongst a group of Prada obsessed, Fendi-adorned woman with perfectly produced pouts. And drinking 3-in-1 Nescafe is not my idea of cultural exploration! Now, to add insult to injury, the sky above has dumped snow on my parade. Yes, you heard me, snow in Jordan. Imagine, camels, sand dunes and snow…a rather incomprehensible and entirely bizarre combination. As are my blonde locks among a sea of covered heads!
Where in the world am I?
