Where will you be on 11 June 2010!? Just because you are a continent away from Soccer City in South Africa on the opening day of the World Cup, does not mean that you should not celebrate this epic achievement! It’s a celebration for all of Africa – and everyone’s invited! In Birmingham on Friday 11 June, ‘This is Football – Celebrating South Africa 2010’ will do exactly that!

As a world-renowned venue, The Custard Factory is ideal, as it not only has a 1,500 capacity, but also boasts the largest outdoor area in Birmingham! And this can mean only one thing when there are South Africans involved…

A huge braai of course! Starting at lunchtime, this event will go well into the wee hours of the morning as DJs from Slick Management and I love my DJs will keep you entertained til long after the last game has been screened!

Two large screens will show the opening ceremony, followed by the South Africa v Mexico game at 3pm and then Uruguay v France!

So whether you’re from Africa or South America, France, England or other – be sure to get in the football spirit at this all day celebration of soccer, music and mother Africa!

All proceeds of this event will be going to a charity known as the WEZIMBABWE Foundation.

For full event details and how to buy tickets, see the SA PROMO online events guide or click here for the facebook group.
