The champion Bulls are out in front, and deservedly so, but it was the Reds and the Stormers who made the telling statements in the second round of the Vodacom Super 14.

Last week it was a general consensus that the Crusaders and the Bulls had set down the marker as the teams to beat in this competition. It may well still be like that, for history has shown that the Crusaders are often slow starters and you certainly don’t write them off after just one defeat, particularly when it happens in only the second round.
