Bulls surge to Hamilton victory

Published Date
10 April 2010

The Vodacom Bulls returned to their winning ways with a powerful late surge to beat the Chiefs 33-19 in Hamilton.

In a tense, entertaining and open game, the defending champions secured the victory with a bonus point, and should have won by more if flyhalf Morne Steyn's boot was more accurate and a rough touch judge decision had gone their way.

It was the first time the Bulls had won in Hamilton in Super rugby history, and restored their status as favourites to retain their title after their hiccup in Auckland last weekend. The Bulls also returned to the top of the Super 14 log and with only the Reds to play next weekend in Brisbane, look good to sign off on a successful tour.
