Cape Town is gearing up to host two of the biggest events on the South African sporting calendar in the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour and the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon, as the city braces itself for the biggest event of them all – the 2010 Fifa World Cup™.

City spokesman Pieter Cronje says Cape Town has hosted these events for many years, and has consistently shown its ability to come to the party when it matters.
