South Africa came up trumps at the inaugural The Drinks Business Green Awards, which are designed to highlight and reward leadership on environment, sustainability and climate change, by drinks companies worldwide.

Organised by leading European drinks trade publication The Drinks Business, the awards were held in central London on 14 February.

'Significant moment'

Paul Cluver, founder of Paul Cluver Wines, received arguably the highest accolade, winning the Lifetime Achievement Award, for his ongoing, visionary approach to conservation and exemplary environmental credentials.
