South Africa’s very own all-electric car known as “Joule” will be on show next month at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland, one of Europe’s most important automotive industry events.

The plug-in, zero emission vehicle on show will give designers an idea of the final design and layout of the car when it goes on sale early in 2013.

However, South African motorists can expect to see Joule on our roads within months, as a fleet will be mobile to gather technical feedback on the car and to gauge public response. These cars, like the show car, will be hand-built in Port Elizabeth.
