SPOTLIGHT: What's on - week 14

Published Date
16 April 2010

The middle of April is here and spring is on its way. Many South Africans are stranded between getting back to the UK, some in Paris and many in Dubai and other parts of the world. For those who are watching this odd ash phenomenon ground air traffic from their couches and who are keen to get out and about this weekend, here are some SA related jols to go to in London:

1. The Afrikaans venue of Aardvark celebrates its 5th birthday

Get on down for drinks specials and a guaranteed night of fun and celebrations on Saturday 17 April in Rotherhithe.

2. DirtyDubbin DJs will be spinning it from dusk til dawn

Sleazy G and Little Leigh from DirtyDubbin will be playing at this London rave in Vauxhall this Saturday 17 April, going from 10pm-6am or dusk til dawn!

3. Learn about some SA authors

Or those who wish to stay on the couch, why not do some reading up on the array of literary talent coming out of South Africa. At next week’s London Book Fair, from 19-22 April. South Africa is the Market in Focus and with an extensive programme of authors from SA, there is something for everyone!

See the events section of the SA PROMO website for full details of these events and more.
