It’s been quite a week for many South Africans around the world, especially those trying to get back into the UK and other parts of Europe. As ash grounded endless flights, so too did it strand endless South Africans! We hope by now that you are all back where you need to be, or at least booked onto a flight and headed in the right direction.
If you are in the UK, there are some great stress-relieving options to unwind with this weekend, plus its nearly Freedom Day – 27 April – and a few celebrations are kicking off around the world from Dubai to Australia and of course, the UK.
1. SA day at James Street Tavern in Oxford on Saturday
Go explore this awesome little university town and celebrate Saffa style.
2. Saracens golf day on Monday
For those who are living the SA public holiday calendar and taking off Monday to make it an extra long weekend, why not head down for a game of gofl!
3. Long live Livingston and SA Freedom Day
On Freedom Day, 27 April, Germany based rockers with SA frontman and lead guitarist, Livingston, will be returning to their stomping ground of London for this special show!
4. Catch Roland doing it just for the music at the Half Moon
For a midweek break from work, get yourself down to the Half Moon in Putney and experience the soothing tunes from Roland Albertson’s Legends of the Sun EP.
See the events section of the SA PROMO website for full details of these events and more.
