England's Princes William and Harry will be among guests attending the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, their press office said last week. The two men would land in the country today to join a reception to celebrate the 2010 FIFA World Cup and meet members of the FIFA executive committee, according to a statement.
While the two would also attend the match between Algeria and England on 18 June at Greenpoint stadium, the main purpose of their visit was to support England's bid to host the 2018 tournament.
"As President of the Football Association, Prince William is a firm advocate of the bid and we're delighted that both he and Prince Harry will be supporting us during the summer."
The two princes would also head to Botswana and Lesotho for humanitarian work.
