On Friday 11 June 2010, Birmingham will join the world in celebrating the first FIFA World Cup to be held on the continent of Africa, when the tournament kicks off at Soccer City in South Africa.
South Africa is a country with a remarkably vibrant multicultural community and culture. Part of this culture has always been music - and House music stands out as a cultural meeting point.
Southern African House music is as uniquely African as it is accessible to anyone who loves music. On Friday 11 June, you can celebrate in true South Africa style with a braai, house music and much more at the Custard Factory in Birmingham.
The event is called 'This is Football - Celebrating South Africa 2010' and starts at 130pm, carrying on until the wee hours!
