The 2010 Fifa World Cup is an opportunity for the world to see and experience Africa in a different way, President Jacob Zuma told delegates attending the World Economic Forum's annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday.
"It is an opportunity to tackle stereotypes and preconceptions about the continent, and explore new frontiers of interaction and cooperation. It is an important milestone in the regeneration of the continent."
Zuma said the South African government and its partners had been working hard to ensure that the event was a success.
