A song from the 1995 World Cup film, Invictus, as performed by South African acapella group Overtone together with Yollandi Nortjie. 9,000 days tells the tale of Mandela's leadership in uniting his nation.
During Mandela's 27 years of political imprisonment (9,000 days) his daily source of inspiration was a poem called Invictus by English poet William Henley. It as written 1875 from his hospital bed after his leg was amputated in his lifelong battle against tuberculosis of the bone. Invictus means 'Invincible' in Latin.
