Southern African band Trenton and Free Radical have created a very topical song about Nelson Mandela, telling a story of appreciation for his life with the catchy chorus line 'Mr Mandela, you're one hellava fella, I wanna be like you'.

18 July is Nelson Mandela Day, celebrating his birthday and contribution to the world. As part of the Nelson Mandela Day celebrations in the UK, Trenton and Free Radical are performing at the British Museum in London today.

Trenton has lead an interesting life from being an outspoken activist in SA himself to having been in a previous band called Anti-Gravity who toured with both Prodigy and Faithless, as well as running an African label called Black Mango Music. Trenton and Free Radical is his latest musical output and they are currently working on their debit album.
