Free music on Friday 5 Nov

Published Date
05 November 2010

'Free Music' keeps the signature fun, bouncy, energetic Captain Stu vibe, whilst opting for a more mature sound - and also the concept of giving away the music for free...

Friday 5 November sees the much loved Cape Town ska band, CAPTAIN STU, release their much anticipated EP – Free Music. Captain Stu decided to give the EP away for FREE seeing as the music industry has changed drastically over the last few years from an analogue environment to a completely digital one. They feel that in the process of giving away their music for free, the EP becomes more useful as a promotional tool to sell the band’s live performance to the public.

The most obvious progression from their second album – The Adventures of Captain Stu released in February 2009 – is the fact that the EP is the first release with James Klopper as lead vocalist and with new additions Matt Willis on keyboard and trombone and Ryk Otto on drums.

Free Music track List:

1. Tempo

2. Han Solo

3. Siamese Twin

4. Something’s Up

5. The Day
