Fresh from recording sessions for the new album and soon to step off a plane into the big apple, Freshlyground are heading to New York for mixing and mastering of their latest album. They will also be playing a couple of gigs at Joe’s pub while in NY. This fourth album will be available in May.

Not only is there a new album on the way, but they have recently launched a new website. The site was been designed to give fans greater access to the band by linking all social networks to the site and providing access to a regularly updated blog.

On Valentine’s Day, Freshlyground will also be opening their online shop where you can purchase all the albums as well as an exclusive range of merchandise.

Freshlyground is an afro-fusion band of rock, jazz and afro-pop who formed in Cape Town in 2002. Featuring members of different ethnicities from South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe their diverse backgrounds have allowed them to weave a musical magic that is highly infectious and undeniably groovy.
