South African gospel group Soweto Gospel Choir has teamed up with international rockers U2 on a World Cup project. The Grammy award-winning groups have recorded music that will be used on sports channel, ESPN, during the FIFA World Cup.

The big winner of the night at the South African Music Awards on Saturday was KZN kwaito artist Big Nuz who walked away with three awards - and three big ones at that! Scooping Album of the Year as well as Best Kwaito Album for his album Undisputed and Record of the Year too.

Tumi and the Volume launch album in France
Johannesburg experimental hip hop artists Tumi and the Volume are currently in France having just played Printemps de Bourges on 14 April following the release of their new album, Pick a Dream, on 12 April.

Organisers of the FIFA World Cup kick-off concert are planning to add more local acts to their much-criticised line-up. Local Organising Committee' s Hazel Feldman told Eyewitness News that a revised lineup with more local acts is on the cards.
