Those greener pastures turned out to be the beautiful, and rather chilly (if you’ve lived most of your life in Johannesburg), city of Chicago. Living the American Dream was always reserved for novels and movies, at least where I came from. Hard work and passion, though the true essence of the American way, has made this American Dream a reality. Sounds like a Hollywood script, right? Well it would be perfect, however, there was one thing missing… BILTONG. Just when you thought your greener pastures had it all, your personal box office hit is rudely interrupted by an unbelievable yearning for “a little taste of home”.
