The farcical citing system that governs rugby took another bizarre twist on Monday when Springbok wing Bryan Habana was cited for 'kicking' an opponent in South Africa's encounter with France last Friday.
Habana is due to appear before an International Rugby Board-appointed judicial officer, Lorne Crerar of Scotland, as a result of a citing arising from the Test match between France and South Africa in Toulouse last Friday, November 13.
France won the match 20-13.
This latest citing - for what video evidence clearly shows is a French player pulling his leg - follows on the equally bizarre citing of Bok lock Bakkies Botha during the Test series against the British and Irish Lions earlier this year.
The citing lodged by the IRB's citing commissioner for the match, Scott Nowland (Australia), is for allegedly kicking an opponent, in contravention of Law 10.4 (c).
The hearing is due to take place on Wednesday, November 18, in London.
Did Habana actually kick or was his leg pulled? You decide and let us know.
