Staged in Port Elizabeth, on 25 April. Athletes have to complete a grueling 3.8km sea swim, 180km cycle and 42.2km run!

Comrades Marathon
Arguably the greatest ultra marathon in the world, in May, 90km between Pietermaritzburg and Durban.

The FIFA Soccer World Cup
The Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg will host both the first and final matches, 11 June Р 11 July.

The Billabong Pro 2010
This WCT surfing event will draw massive crowds to Jeffreys Bay in July where the best of the best compete at the world famous right-hand break ‘Supertubes’.

Tri-Nations
The ten-week tournament kicks off in Auckland, New Zealand on 10 July.

Vodacom Durban July
South Africa’s equivalent of Britain’s Royal Ascot will be breaking with over 100 years of tradition when it’s moved from its traditional slot of the first Saturday in July to the last Saturday (31st July), to avoid clashing with the World Cup.
