Nelspruit: Mbombela Stadium

Hiring a car and meandering along the many mountain passes is the cheapest way to appreciate this gorgeous part of the country. Nelspruit serves as the perfect base from which to visit Mozambique and the Kruger National Park.

- God's Window where you can gaze at the unspoilt Eden below from the top of 700m cliffs.

- Blyde River Canyon, the third largest and greenest canyon in the world.

- Mac-Mac Falls, a 65m waterfall and national monument, perfect as a backdrop for your picnic.

- Kaapsehoop where wild horses still gallop freely.

- The Sudwala Caves, the oldest known caves in the world housing spectacular 200 million year old calcium structures.

- The Singita Private Game Lodges in the Kruger National Park, voted one of the best hotels in the world by readers of Conde Nast Traveller.

- The Ndebele Cultural Village in Botshabelo in all it’s unique colour and geometry.

- Lowveld Botanical Gardens dominated by rugged, rocky river scenery and tropical African rainforest.

- Pilgrim’s Rest, an old gold-mining town forgotten by time.
