If you are having it with your meal, you can just sprinkle it with cinnamon and sugar or have it as it is without the sweetness. You can sprinkle it with a little lemon juice as well.
Ingredients
- 500ml cooked pumpkin
- 250ml flour
- 10ml baking powder
- 2ml salt
- 5ml ground cinnamon
- 1 large egg, beaten
- cooking oil
Syrup
- 15ml butter
- 250ml sugar
- 200ml milk
- 30ml lemon juice
- 2 pieces of cinnamon
Place the pumpkin in a bowl and mash. Stir in the flour , baking powder, salt, cinnamon and mix well . Stir in the beaten egg and mix again. Heat the oil and with a spoon add the pumpkin mixture in the heated oil and fry until brown on both sides.
Method for Syrup
Heat all the ingredients for the syrup, bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes. Pour the syrup over the pumpkin.
