Autumn sunrises and sunsets in the Mother City are nothing short of magnificent – and Tuesday morning was no exception.
Social media users shared images of the most exquisite colours in the Cape Town skies. From yellows, deep oranges and pinks, the sky was truly something to behold. The colours danced across the open sky creating trails of fire.
The air in Cape Town is crisp with the promise of a looming winter and temperatures are moderately cool for this time of the year. More rain is expected in the Western Cape province this week. The South African Weather Service has warned of a stormy Thursday (May 20) morning and a 90% chance of rain which is expected to clear by Friday morning.
Another bout of rain in Cape Town is predicted for Tuesday, 25 May – with a 50% chance of showers.
