The first part of the DVD features Nibs playing solo with material off all his six highly acclaimed albums, as well good friend Farryl Purkiss who guests on a heart rendering version of Hank William’s ‘Tramp on the Street’.
In the second hour, longtime drummer/percussionist Gareth Gale joins Nibs for some riveting duo interaction. Filmed up close with three cameras and the audio sound digitally captured, this is the closest you get to experience an organic Nibs van der Spuy concert first hand.
There is also a wonderful bonus section with an in-depth interview with Nibs and two rare archival clips featuring Guy Buttery and Piers Faccini. Nibs will be promoting the DVD around South Africa starting with some Kwa-Zulu dates in December.
