Teargas released the critically-acclaimed debut album, K’shubile K’bovu, a 14 track album filled with positive messages of hope, social awareness and party songs all strung together into one classic offering.
They’ve won the most Metro FM awards in 2006, totally based on public votes, which shows their true popularity. In 2008, they won the Metr FM award for Best Group.
They won their first SAMA in 2009 for Best Rap category for the album Wafa Wafa. They have been nominated for the 2010 SAMAs for Album of the Year for Dark or Blue, as well as for Best Group of the Year and Best Rap Album.
