EXFOLIATE
Over time, dead cells develop on the surface of the skin which decreases the lustre of the skin, giving it a lifeless appearance. Exfoliating regularly will remove the dead cells and stimulate cell renewal, which also prepares the skin for better absorption of products. An exfoliation scrub twice a week is suffi cient.
HYDRATE
It is very important to know that there is a difference between dehydrated skin and dry skin. Also keep in mind that without hydration the skin will look older and have a lot less resistance to harmful factors like pollution and the sun.
Having dehydrated skin means that there is not enough moisture in the skin. A moisturising treatment should then be used every time after cleansing. A shower gel is recommended for use in the summer due to the fact that it eliminates the soap that adds to dehydration.
Dry skin on the other hand, is a sign of not having enough oil in the skin. Yes, oil is essential to great skin. Oil creates a protective layer and keeps the skin supple. A nourishing treatment should be used in this case.
PROTECT
Sun exposure is inevitable as we live in an area that is sunny most of the year and rays can reach you in the shade, one metre beneath the water and even inside a building! Sunscreen is therefore a must!
The sun is responsible for about 80% of skin ageing. Collagen and elastin are destroyed by the sun, which leads to the diminishing of elasticity in the skin and the subsequent formation of wrinkles. Skin then appears rough and dry. Sunscreen with a SPF factor of at least 15 is recommended.
