The Citizen reported that, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela the police spokespersona, said that the suspect sustained head injuries and was admitted to hospital.

This happened in front of the Sun International Offices in Sandown, Sandton, Johannesburg on Thursday the 12th of March and he allegedly attempted to steal a car. Two other suspects made of with another stolen car.
Maphakela told eNCA; “We have opened a case of attempted car theft against the suspect and are also investigating a case of assault against the people who assaulted him.”
