A man appeared in the Cape Town Magistrates Court after he shot and killed 23-year-old Toufiq Joseph at point-blank range at a petrol garage on Orange Street in Gardens, Cape Town. This video appears to show the shooter at the car seconds after the shooting.
The alleged shooter is David Forbes, who owns popular party franchise H20. The 48-year old charged with the killing appeared briefly in court where conditions of his bail hearing were debated. He will have to appear again tomorrow for the bail hearing to be heard and will remain in custody. He faces a one count of murder after the incident on Saturday.
While a medical examination will be conducted by the district surgeon before tomorrow’s hearing, eyewitnesses say Forbes shot at least three shots at point blank range before touching the deceased who seemed to be alive for a while after the shooting. The shooter did not leave the scene of the incident and some said he even drank a cool drink before police arrived at the scene.
Holy crap, look how calm and collected he is… gives me cold chills!!! MONEY makes people do funny things but would be very interested to hear what his motive was.
