Madiba Jive song included on World Cup album

The song Sekunjalo Ke Nako, meaning ‘Now is the Time’ and penned by Cape Town-based singer and songwriter John Pretorius, has been included on Listen Up! The Official World Cup Album.

As the rally continued, Pretorius, then a school teacher, took the stage and, as he sang, Mandela broke into the now famous ‘Madiba Jive’. Pretorius now goes by the name ‘J Pre’ and he, along with international superstar Wyclef Jean, five-time Grammy nominee Jazmine Sullivan and this year’s most-anticipated new artist, B Howard, perform the song.
