ADVISORIES:

  1. Wet, windy and very cold conditions expected over the north-eastern parts of the Northern Cape and western parts of the North-West Province Wednesday morning, spreading to the northeastern parts of the Free State as well as the eastern parts of the North-West Province by late afternoon.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Morning fog patches in the extreme east, otherwise partly cloudy and cool, but cold in the south.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Morning fog patches on the Highveld and escarpment, otherwise fine and cool to cold.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Morning fog patches on the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and cold to cool, becoming cloudy in the extreme west by late evening, with possible isolated showers and thundershowers in the west from late afternoon.

Free State:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and cold, becoming cloudy in the extreme west from the evening, with possible isolated showers and thundershowers in the west.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and cold to cool, but cloudy in the central parts, spreading to the east by the afternoon, with possible scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated in places in the south and northern parts.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be strong northerly to north-easterly becoming moderate westerly in the late afternoon.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Cloudy with isolated showers in the west in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and cool but warm along the south coast, where it will be fine until in the afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to north-westerly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Temperature: Partly cloudy at times, otherwise fine and cool.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate northwesterly, becoming light south-easterly in the afternoon.

The Eastern half – Temperature: Partly cloudy at times, otherwise fine and cool, but cold in the extreme north.

The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Fine and cool, but cold in the south-west.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be gentle north-westerly in the morning, otherwise moderate north-easterly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
