This unit is supposed to investigate officials with undeclared business interests, officials doing business with government without disclosing their business interest, officials performing remunerative work outside the public service without permission and officials who solicit and receive bribes in return for performing or not performing official duties. In other words, illegal conduct. Known to us as being skelm.
This is a real joke. Almost as unbelievable as a story that old uncle Eugene Terre’Blanche was starting a charity for black school kids before he was murdered (as part of the genocide those idiotic farm murder protesters were going on about the other day – link?) It’s funny because you know none of these people will or ever had any conviction to do so. A government official against corruption? A right winger wanting to do good for the majority of SA? Not possible. It would be easier for Amor Vitone to sing in tune or Joost to be faithful to his wife.
Why do we listen to the rhetoric? It’s nonsense. She knows very well corruption is part of being in government. The Nats did it, so why does she want to stop? The real challenge is to see if the ANC can ever be more corrupt than the Nationalist Party ever was.
