Eating salads is a super-convenient way to work in a couple of servings of vegetables and/or fruit. In winter this is a good source of nutrition much needed.

Broccoli raw are very low in Saturated Fat and Cholesterol. It is also a good source of Protein, Vitamin E (Alpha Tocopherol), Thiamin, Riboflavin, Pantothenic Acid, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus and Selenium, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Vitamin B6, Folate, Potassium and Manganese
Pumpkin Seeds raw are very low in Cholesterol and Sodium. It is also a good source of Protein, Magnesium and Zinc.
Raisins are very low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium.
Celery raw is low in Saturated Fat, and very low in Cholesterol. It is also a good source of Riboflavin, Vitamin B6, Pantothenic Acid, Calcium, Magnesium and Phosphorus, and a very good source of Dietary Fibre, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Foliate, Potassium and Manganese.

The Broccoli Salad
This is a broccoli salad with raisins and sunflower seeds, and a dressing made with Miracle Whip Salad Dressing and sugar and vinegar.
Ingredients
- 1 head fresh broccoli, cut up
- 1/2 cup finely chopped red onions
- 1/2 lb. bacon cooked, crumbled, (more or less a half a cup)
- 1 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
Dressing
- 1 cup Miracle Whip salad dressing
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
Preparation
In a large serving bowl, combine broccoli and other salad ingredients. Mix dressing ingredients together, pour over salad ingredients and toss gently.
