Insecure brought forth all the issues a black woman has to face and has represented black people in a positive light.
Not only has it created characters that watchers are able to relate to, but it has also given fans the opportunity to be able to relate to the characters they watch on screen.
But, with the season finale that has now come to pass, are fans satisfied with what they have gotten, or do they need some more? Well, like most series there is always a wish for it to go on and on. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.
Insecure Character Development
So, character development did not only happen in a fictional sense, fans could also relate to it on a personal level and have taken to social media to show what parts of the series have impacted them the most.
One of the lessons I have learned centers on the way we do not have to have everything figured out when we are young adults.
Truth be told, we only really begin to reap the fruits of our labor during the time we think we should be in our prime.
The Ending We Knew We Wanted
Now, remember the mirror version of Issa who would constantly pop up when a good decision needs to be made or when Issa would just need to think about something? Well, in the season finale or rather final episode we see no more of her!
What does this mean exactly? Well, if you couldn’t figure it out, Issa is no longer insecure and has therefore tied up all the loose ends in the narrative she has been telling.
But, regardless, the show has certainly taught us the true value of friendship and how we should be able to accept the good, the bad, and the ugly if we care about the next person dearly.
So, here’s to Insecure season five teaching us the most valuable lessons in life!
From Insecure to you.
