I found myself wondering how I would adapt to the heat, the local laws and whether there would be a language barrier to overcome.
Little by little I started experiencing the Dubai lifestyle and now it certainly feels like a second home. Dubai today is flashy, fun and slightly surreal. I can not stress it enough, Dubai definitely does grow on you and I look forward to many years residing in this beautiful city.
It’s no secret that Dubai is the shopping Mecca of the world. There are scores of shopping malls located throughout Dubai, each one offering a unique experience. Whether it be clothing, electrical gadgetry or souvenirs, Dubai offers enough variety to satisfy the needs of the most demanding of shoppers.
Probably the biggest party in Dubai would have to be the Dubai Rugby Sevens Tournament. This year the tickets were sold out within 10 minutes. It just goes to show the popularity of this event. Every year eager expatriates crowd in the stands to catch a glimpse of the rugby entertainment being displayed on the pitch. At night all the Dubai nightclubs come alive and partygoers are never disappointed after spending a night out on the town.
Dubai currently has the World’s Tallest Building, largest man-made islands etc. An even taller building, the world’s biggest mall and an amusement park twice the size of Disney World are under construction so things are certainly getting interesting over here in Dubai.
I strongly recommend anybody who has ever wondered what Dubai offers to come and visit this amazing city. It is a sensational experience that you will never forget. There are enough activities here to satisfy the needs of any traveller, guaranteed.
