The long-awaited South African pricing for the Volkswagen Golf 8 GTI has been released, and will be available for sale here from 1 September 2021. It will set you back a cool R669 300.

The new Golf GTI boasts the most digitally advanced version yet with 11kW more power than its predecessor. The 2.0l turbocharged engine now develops 180kW with a torque peak of 370Nm. The four-cylinder engine is coupled with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. It takes 6.4 seconds to complete the 0 – 100km/h sprint.
Volkswagen’s launch plans for the Golf 8 GTI includes a digital South African premiere in July as well as countrywide customer events which will allow enthusiasts to be among the first to experience the award-winning Golf.
