Temperature and UBV forecast
Gauteng:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with afternoon isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the north.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered over the highveld region. It will be hot in the lowveld.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the south. it will be hot to very hot in the western bushveld and lowveld.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Fine and hot becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the east.
Free State:
Temperature: Morning fog patches in the extreme east where it will be cloudy, otherwise partly cloudy and warm and hot, but fine in the central parts at first, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme east.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Fine in the north at first, otherwise partly cloudy and hot but warm in the south.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy and cool along the south and south-west coast in the morning otherwise sunny and warm. It will become cloudy along the south coast again from evening.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly to south-westerly along the south and south-west coast otherwise fresh southerly.

Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Temperature: Cloudy with fog patches in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, but cool in places in the south
The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light north westerly early morning, otherwise fresh to strong south westerly
The Eastern half – Temperature: Fine and warm, but cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain in south of the escarpment. Isolated thunderstorms are expected in places in the east.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be Light and variable in the morning, otherwise light to moderate easterly, but moderate to fresh south westerly in the south.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Morning fog in places over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected in the afternoon.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be Gentle southerly to south-westerly north of Durban in the morning, otherwise gentle to moderate northerly to north-easterly. It will become moderate south-easterly south of Richard’s Bay from late afternoon.
