FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:
- Extremely high fire danger conditions expected over the ZF Mgcawu, Namakwa, and Pixley Ka Seme District Municipalities of the Northern Cape, Matzikama Local Municipality, Cederberg Local Municipality and the Central Karoo District Municipality of the Western Cape, as well as the Sarah Baartman District Municipality and Inxuba Yethemba Local Municipality of the Eastern Cape.
ADVISORIES:
- A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected over Alexander Bay and Garies in the Northern Cape until Tuesday(12/10/2021).
- Extremely hot conditions are expected over the northern parts of the West Coast District of the Western Cape.
Gauteng:
Temperature: Fine and cool but warm in the north where it will be partly cloudy at first.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Cloudy in the east at first with morning fog patches, otherwise partly cloudy and cool but warm in the Lowveld. It will become fine by the late afternoon.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Cloudy at first with morning fog patches in the east and drizzle along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm, becoming fine from the south towards the late afternoon.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Partly cloudy in the north at first, otherwise fine and warm.
Free State:
Temperature: Morning fog patches in the east, otherwise fine and cool to warm.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot but very hot over the south-western parts.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly, becoming moderate south-westerly in the afternoon.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, but very hot to extremely hot in places over the West Coast and the Central Karoo Districts.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to north-easterly along the south-coast in the morning, otherwise light to moderate southerly to south-easterly, becoming fresh to strong north of Table Bay in the afternoon.

Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Temperature: Fine and hot to very hot, but warm along the coast.
The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly, becoming light to moderate south-westerly from the west in the afternoon.
The Eastern half – Temperature: Cloudy with mist along the escarpment at first otherwise fine and warm but hot in the west.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Cloudy at first over the interior with morning fog patches, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, becoming fine during the day.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly to north-easterly, becoming fresh in the afternoon.
