- A heatwave with persistently high temperatures is expected in Richersveld, Kamiesberg Municipalities in the Northern Cape and northern parts of West Coast District in the Western Cape until Sunday (18/04/2021).
Gauteng:
Temperature: Cloudy in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm.
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very high.
Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Cloudy with morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool but warm in places of the Lowveld.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Cloudy with morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Fine and warm but cloudy and cool in the east where it will become partly cloudy in the afternoon.
Free State:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm, but cloudy and cool in the east.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Partly cloudy in the west, otherwise fine and warm to hot but very hot to extremely hot along the coast. Isolated thundershowers are expected in the west.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southeasterly to southerly but fresh at times in the afternoon.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Partly cloudy over the northern parts of the West Coast District, where it will be extremely hot, otherwise fine and warm to hot.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light and variable north of Lambert’s Bay at first, otherwise light to moderate southeasterly to easterly reaching fresh to strong south of Betty’s Bay until mid-morning.

Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Temperature: Cool in places along the coast and north, otherwise fine and warm.
The Western Half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-easterly.
The Eastern half – Temperature: Partly cloudy in places along escapement at first, otherwise fine and cool.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be strong north-easterly.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be gentle westerly at first, otherwise moderate to fresh north-easterly.
