Severe Weather Alerts
IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:
- A Yellow level 2 Warning for Rain resulting in localized flooding is expected over the Cape Metropole, western parts of both the Cape Winelands and Overberg Districts on Thursday into Friday.
- A Yellow level 2 Warning for Wind resulting in damage to settlements is expected over the southern high ground of the Northern Cape, the Central and the Little Karoo of the Western Cape on Thursday but along the coastal areas between Lamberts Bay and Cape Agulhas from Wednesday evening spreading to Plettenberg Bay on Thursday afternoon.
- A Yellow 2 level Warning for Waves resulting in small vessels being at risk of capsizing is expected between Cape Columbine and Plettenberg Bay from Thursday afternoon into Friday.
FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:
- Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Laingsburg Municipality of the Western Cape, the western and central parts of the Eastern Cape, as well the Northern Cape, except in it’s extreme west.

Temperature: Partly cloudy in the east at first with early morning fog patches on the Highveld and escarpment areas, otherwise fine and cool but warm in the Lowveld.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Cloudy in the east at first with early morning fog patches on the Highveld and escarpment areas otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Fine and cool to warm.
Free State:
Temperature: Fine and cool to warm.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Fine and cool to warm and windy, becoming partly cloudy over the central and western parts from the afternoon.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light south-easterly at first, otherwise moderate to fresh westerly to north-westerly.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Fine, windy and warm but cool along the coastal areas and adjacent interior, becoming partly cloudy to cloudy over the eastern interior from the afternoon. It will become cloudy in the south-west during the afternoon with rain from the evening.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light and variable along the south coast, otherwise moderate to fresh north-westerly becoming strong in the afternoon.

Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Temperature: Fine and warm, but cool along the coast. It will be windy over the northern interior.
The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light westerly to north-westerly, becoming light to moderate south-easterly in the afternoon.
The Eastern half – Temperature: Fine and warm, but cool along the coast.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly, becoming light to moderate south-easterly in the afternoon.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Fine and warm but cool in the south-west.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly but fresh in the north.
