FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

  1. Extremely high fire danger is expected over the extreme eastern Northern Cape, southern Free State and south-western North West Province.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Fine and warm.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm but hot in places in the Lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Fine and warm to hot.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy in the west in the afternoon.

Free State:

Temperature: Partly cloudy in the south-west at first, otherwise fine and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy in the central parts in the afternoon.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy in the east at first, otherwise fine and warm, but cool in the south.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-westerly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool with isolated showers along the western parts until late morning.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to north-westerly, becoming southerly to south-easterly by the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool, but cloudy at times in the south.

The Western Half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southwesterly, but light westerly west of St Francis in the morning and evening.

The Eastern half – Temperature: Fine and cool but partly cloudy in places, becoming cloudy in the south-east in the evening.

The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southwesterly, but light westerly west of St Francis in the morning and evening.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Morning fog over the north-eastern interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but hot in places in the east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly becoming fresh south-westerly in the extreme south by late morning, spreading to the north by evening.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
