FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

  1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in places over the central parts of the Northern Cape, Central and Little Karoo of the Western Cape and the north-western parts of the Eastern Cape.

ADVISORIES:

Gauteng:

Temperature: Fine and cool.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Fine and cool but warm in the Lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm.

Free State:

Temperature: Warm in the north-west, otherwise fine and cool, becoming partly cloudy in the south-west in the afternoon.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy with morning fog along the coast, otherwise fine, windy and cool to warm but partly cloudy in the south-east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly becoming north-westerly south of Hondeklip Bay in the evening.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Morning fog in places over the west-coast and adjacent interior, otherwise partly cloudy and cool but cold over the Cape Peninsula.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly north of Cape Columbine at first, otherwise light to moderate north-westerly to westerly reaching fresh to strong between Table Bay and Cape Agulhas in the morning, spreading to Saldanha Bay and Stillbaai in the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Temperature: Morning fog patches over the southern interior, otherwise partly cloudy and cool, but warm in the north.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly, becoming fresh to strong south-westerly from mid-morning.

The Eastern half – Temperature: Morning fog patches in places in the south, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, but cool in the north.

The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly, becoming south-westerly from the south from the afternoon.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Fine and warm but cool in the south-west.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be gentle north-westerly at first, otherwise moderate to fresh north-easterly.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
