Severe Weather Alerts
IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:
- Yellow (L2) warning for disruptive rainfall leading to localized flooding of formal and informal settlement, infrastructure damage as well as disruptions to main roads is expected in places in the eastern parts of the Eastern Cape.
FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:
- Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over Phokwane LM in the Northern Cape and over Greater Taung in the North West province.

Gauteng:
Temperature: Fine at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm.

Mpumalanga:
Temperature: Morning fog along the escarpment, otherwise fine and warm but hot over the Lowveld, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.
Limpopo:
Temperature: Morning fog along the escarpment, otherwise fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy from the afternoon.
North-West Province:
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the western and central parts.
Free State:
Temperature: Partly cloudy to cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the northeast. Scattered showers and
thundershowers are expected in the south but widespread in the extreme southeast.
Northern Cape:
Temperature: Cold over the southern high ground, otherwise partly cloudy to cloudy and cool but warm over the interior with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east. Scattered thundershowers are expected in the southeast.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southwesterly, becoming southerly in the afternoon.
Western Cape:
Temperature: Cloudy and cold to cool with isolated rain and showers along the south coast and adjacent interior, spreading to the eastern interior in the evening. It will become fine in the west and southwestern parts from the afternoon.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to southeasterly but light southwesterly at first along the south coast.

Eastern Cape:
The Western half – Temperature: Cloudy and cold with scattered rain and showers.
The Western Half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly to southerly.
The Eastern half – Temperature: Cloudy and cold with widespread showers and thundershowers. Heavy falls of rain may lead to flash flooding in places.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.
Kwazulu-Natal:
Temperature: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy to cloudy in the afternoon with scattered afternoon
and evening showers and thundershowers in the extreme south, otherwise isolated except in the north.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly northerly to north-easterly, becoming fresh to strong south-westerly from the
south spreading northwards.
