Advocate Paul Kennedy was a senior Judge believed to be involved in child sex trafficking. He faced a number of charges and was due to appear in court soon. The details of his death have not been given.
Advocate Paul Kennedy released on bail
In previous reports, Paul Kennedy and the co-accused were not named in these charges as they had not pleaded yet. Advocate Paul Kennedy was arrested in July last year and released out on bail for R20 000.
As relayed by News24, advocate Paul Kennedy faced a larger number of charges which included rape and sexual assault. The devices of the two accused were confiscated at the time. Authorities found that each device contained child pornography.
Charges against Paul and the accused
Paul and the co-accused have also illegally spread child pornography. They are believed to have one such as the ones they have shared. As of late, several senior figures in the legal fraternity have shared the news of the death of the late advocate.

As of late, the charges Paul faced include four counts of sexual assault, charges of compelled sexual assault, sexual exploitation of children, the sexual grooming of children, benefitting of the services of a child victim of trafficking, and financing, controlling, or organizing the trafficking of a child victim.
Presently, the cause of death has not been confirmed as further details are still expected.
Paul Kennedy and the co-accused were expected to appear in court at least two weeks from now. The images found on Paul Kennedy’s phone are related to child pornography. It is believed that he had created child pornography with at least one of his victims.
There is currently no word on the co-accused and when the individual will appear in court. This is a developing story. In addition, the victims involved will remain unnamed.
