The lead has been confirmed by a survey conducted by market research company IPSOS ahead of the elections on 3 August this year.
According to this poll the people of Nelson Mandela Bay believe that only the DA can bring real change that will make a difference in their lives. They are ready to turn their backs on the ANC, so poorly led by Danny Jordan as mayor – proudly brought to the people by Jacob Zuma.
The people of the Bay understand that where the DA governs the DA governs well and delivers better services to all. The IPSOS results show that for the DA to win the Bay, will require every DA voter to come out and vote.
The latest IPSOS poll, which shows the DA can WIN the Bay, indicates how the people of NMB are seeing through the ANC and Jordaan’s broken promises: 21,000 more unemployed people since December 2015, over R320 million lost to leaks and electricity theft in the last 9 months, delivery of a fake metro police service, a criminal appointed to the Head of Safety and Security, no eradication of bucket toilets, no weekly refuse collection in all wards, and frequent no-shows at important meetings.
The DA’s mayoral candidate, Athol Trollip, says he is commitment to good governance, job creation and corruption-fighting after a victory.
