Did Nelli threaten to jump from building multiple times?

Anele ‘Nelli’ Tembe has on more than one occasion threatened to jump from a building. This, according to alleged video evidence, on two separate days. So many questions left unanswered. So many lives ruined. And the drama between rapper AKA, Kiernan Forbes and his young fiancée Nelli Tembe has just begun.

Videos of Tembe visually upset, sitting on the floor, rocking herself back and forth mumbling that she only wants her mother have been released, allegedly by AKA’s camp. In the footage, you can see broken glass and a complete mess – the singer is heard saying that Nelli did all of that, and she is under the influence. He also says she tried jumping off the balcony – and that if this goes to court he has evidence.

Another video of his friends trying to calm Tembe during a fight, shows the height of unhappiness in their relationship. Anele is heard saying that they don’t know what he does to her. Again, there are overturned chairs and a mess around them. A picture of a big bruise on AKA’s face was also leaked. And a picture of Nelli nursing a bruised face has made its way to social media too.

These videos and pictures, come in retaliation of video footage showing AKA breaking down a door to get to Tembe on March 15. Even though the footage has not yet been released to the public, it is alleged it contains damning evidence about their troubled union.

When Tembe fell to her death from the 10th floor of the Pepperclub Hotel on 11 April, another video showing a woman threatening to jump off the Hilton Hotel in Durban, in December, surfaced.

The video stoked fires that Tembe had, on more than one occasion, threatened to jump off a building. Days later, her father Moses Tembe would deny that his daughter committed suicide during her funeral service. Instead, he blamed drugs and alcohol for her untimely death.

On the morning of 11 December 2020, police were called to the Hilton Hotel after a woman was videoed threatening to jump off the roof.

According to the police report, a 22-year-old woman who was a guest at the hotel, was rescued off the roof after she attempted to jump.

Two policemen acted quickly and brought her to safety. She was taken to hospital for treatement. At the time, police said she was the girlfriend of a famous rapper who lived in Gauteng. The timeline aligns with AKA’s appearance at Cubana, which places him in Durban.

This may add to pieces of crucial evidence as to the state of her mind on the day she died. Police are still investigating and have opened an inquest into the cause of her death.
